The class will explore the nature of the oceanic crust and uppermantle through field study of this classic example of an ophiolite. The class assumes a background in geology and is intended primarily for geology majors and graduate students. Prerequisites: At least one 400-level geology course, and permission of the instructor. 4hrs. Field trip fee required.
