Intro to Social Issues Theatre

SHOW FINAL EXAM SCHEDULE

Credit: 3 hours.

An introductory exploration/survey of the rich histories, theories, and practices of community-based and social issues theatre. Through discussion, participation, lecture, and performance, representative works, movement, and artists will be explored. Lively connections will be made to an array of social issues in today's world.

Enslin, M	Part of Term: 1 Date Range: 08/24/20-12/09/20 Section Info: I will conduct the class simultaneously in person in the Main Lounge of Allen Residence Hall and also on Zoom -- which means that students have the option to take the course entirely online or attend in person. The Main Lounge is a large room where it will be possible to observe spatial distance. Whether the class continues with this arrangement or modifies it will be decided in coordination with the students as a group, in keeping with the spirit of the subject matter of the course.
