In this class, you will write to entertain, interest, and excite readers from preschool through early elementary school. From poetry to picture books, you will learn the challenges of writing for young readers: radical concision, energetic language, imagery, and child-appropriate content. So if you have always secretly wanted to write a children's book, or if you want to see your writing in children's magazines such as Ladybug or Cricket, or if you just want to understand children's writing better, then this is the writing workshop for you.
