Grief and Loss Across the Lifespan: 3 credit hours. This course will educate students on the impact of grief and loss from the perspective of human development. Will begin by exploring different types of grief and loss and the importance of studying this topic especially for those seeking professions in healthcare and social service settings. Will utilize development theories across the lifespan at how individuals' approach and understand death, the coping strategies utilized to confront grief/loss and ways to support individuals experiencing the plethora of feelings that accompany grief/loss.
