Title: Special Music Education. Special Music Education is the teaching of students with disabilities. Special Music Education integrates teaching practice from both music education and special education. The focus will be on how to include children with disabilities in self-contained and inclusive music classes. Understanding characteristics of various types of disabilities helps teachers to plan, assess and reflect on their ability to develop a curriculum that allows all children to access music.
