Entertainment Industry Studies
Section Info:
The entertainment industries are a multi-billion dollar global enterprise, and yet, the way they work is often stepped in mystery. How does a movie get made? Why are there 5 different Spider-Man films? Why did my favorite TV show get cancelled? Why are movie tickets so expensive? This course is designed to give students an introduction to the various aspects of the entertainment industries, focusing specifically on film and television, to construct a greater understanding of the industrial production of contemporary culture.
