Medical Embryology This course is designed for graduate students and professional students with a sincere interest in the discipline. The course covers the general topic of human embryology, from the initial development of the germs cells, fertilization, and the key events that take place suring the devleopme of the conceptus and fetus leading up to birth. A large emphasis is placed on the clinical significance of those events as their basis in a vast array of fetal, neonatal and adult clinical pathologies.

Viruses infect cellular organisms, large and small. This discussion-based course will investigate both the current and historical literature on viruses of microbes in an effort to understand their fundamental biology, genetics, genomics, ecology and evolution. In addition students will present their on-going research projects for feedback and discussion.
