Section Info:
Promoting Undergraduate Research in Engineering (PURE) is a research program that aims to provide first-hand research experience to underclassmen in engineering. The PURE program pairs graduate mentors with undergraduate students on a semesster-long research project and expects students to produce and present posters at the year-end symposium. Topic: Undergraduate Research This course will introduce undergraduate students to how engineers and scientists approach research, communicate their ideas and results, and are trained. The course will spotlight some of the engineering research currently on campus and provide some background preparation for students interested in taking part in research as an undergraduate. This course is open to all undergraduates in science, technology, engineering, and math. It is a requirement for students participating in the ISUR program for the first time.
