Outreach Engagemnt Methds HDFS
Section Info:
This course will intrtoduce students to contemporary methods of outreach education, with a focus on applying technology to promote the educational missions of human/social service agencies and organizations. Students will complete a series of projects that will require them to (a) learn basic principles of program development, (b) critically evaluate and synthesize research-based information for use in outreach, (c) learn to use digital media tools to communicate with professional and lay audiences, and (d) document evidence of their competencies on an online portfolio. The course will emphasize collaborative learnng with individual accountability. Junior or Senior standing in HDFS or Consent of Instructor
