Principles and practice of editing across disciplines. Content includes style, grammar, punctuation, word usage, clarity and brevity. Both print and digital environments are considered. Students will edit text and display copy such as headlines and photo captions. 3 hours.

Credit is not given for both JOUR 420 and JOUR 421. Journalism majors should enroll in JOUR 420. Prerequisite: Advanced Composition.

Junior standing required.
