Topic: Book Arts: Synthesis of Text & Image. In this hands-on, creative approach to communication and messaging, students will write their own story and design a multi-page book. Focus will be on innovative typographic decisions and integration of creative visual imagery. The course aims to explore the book format as a vessel and container for inspired ideas and artistic expression. Students will gain an understanding of graphic design principles and methods for achieving emphasis in order to engage the reader intellectually and evoke emotion.
