Topic: Global Issues from Local Perspectives: Immigration Learn about immigration, how it is manifested in different countries in the world, and the social, political, educational, and economic challenges it presents. Based on their experience, knowledge and skills, students will conduct independent research on immigration in a country of their choice by locating readings and other materials, and sharing them with their peers. Several Illinois faculty will discuss their research on immigration. Students with international experience (study abroad and international students), and / or advanced language proficiency are particularly encouraged to register.
