Credit: 1 OR 2 hours.

An interdisciplinary course in which performing arts students learn physical skills necessary for the practice of the contact improvisation (CI) partnering dance form as well as improvisational and performance skills. Encourages contemplation of the broader philosophical implications inherent in the form: community building and accepting difference. Content includes visits to lectures and events outside the dance department.

May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 4 undergraduate hours or 6 graduate hours if topics vary.
