Examination of the methods used to study human thought processes, including attention, memory, decision-making, language and concepts. Students will learn to design, carry out, and report research in cognitive psychology.

Prerequisite: PSYC 224 or PSYC 248; PSYC 235.

Section Info:
PSYC 331 explores the ways in which experimental psychologists address questions about human cognition. Techniques in experimental methods and design will be covered. In lab sections, students will discuss and participate in a number of short cognitive psychology experiments. Students will also gain experience with descriptive statistics to summarize data, inferential tests to analyze results, and conveying the results of experiments in graphical and written form. All seats reserved for Psychology majors until November 22nd.
