Fall 2011 All Classes
Credit: 3 OR 4 hours.
Examines how the physical and social environment affects this political and social attitudes of persons who occupy that space. Special emphasis on local politics, commitment to place, attitudes about other people and groups, willingness to engage in collective action, and the Not In My backyard (NIMBY) response to local problems.
Same as HDES 409. 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Three upper division courses in political science, sociology, or allied disciplines; or consent of instructor.
