Human Reproductive Biology. This course consists of lectures and discussions on topics in human reproduction where technological and clinical advances are having economic, social and ethical consequesnces. These consequences raise daunting challenges to health care, governement, social and religious institutions. Topics include prevalent reproductive health problems (sexually transmitted diseases and hormone-dependent cancer), assisted reproductive technologies, stem cells and cloning, environmental disrupters, contaception and global human population dynamics. The course includes readings, discussions, and group interactions. This class will meet in 354A Medical Sciences Building.
