Intro to Edu Admin.

Credit: 4 hours.

Provides the basic common understanding of theory and practice in operation and control of schools useful to teachers and other citizens; analyzes both formal and informal influences on governance; and serves as an introductory course for prospective administrative officers and supervisors.

Prerequisite: Graduate standing in the College of Education or consent of instructor.

Priority will be given to department majors.

Class sessions will be held at the Oak Brook Multi-Univ Center on the following Tuesdays and Wednesday: June 22 and 23,; Jun 29 and 30, and Jul 6 and 7. Classes will me on these dates from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. This course is part of a self-supporting program and DOES NOT accept the following tuition and fee waivers (TFWs): Cooperating Teacher waivers, Non-Academic waivers (including UIUC employees and employees of other state institutions), Academic waivers from UIUC, UIC and UIS employees, Related Agency waivers, Field Supervisor waivers or Retiree waivers. This program DOES accept statutory waivers (veterans grants, etc.) and waivers granted through fellowships/assistantships as governed by the Graduate College at UIUC.
