Study of the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the oral and pharyngeal stages of swallowing and critical review of the research literature pertaining to methods for diagnosis and treatment of dysphagia.

Prerequisite: SHS 300 or equivalent and SHS 470, or consent of instructor.
