Credit: 4 hours.

Through guided experience, students identify and offer advice to local small business firms; exposes students, serving as consultants, to the wide variety of problems facing the smaller firm as well as enables them to apply current business methods to real problems. Students work in teams.

Credit is not given for both BADM 445 and ENG 465. Prerequisite: Undergraduate, Junior standing; for Graduate students, priority enrollment is granted to students in the MBA program or other MS programs in BADM.

Criteria: For graduate or undergraduate students who have successfully completed an IBC project and are active members of IBC in the semester they take the course, or for MBA students, regardless of whether they have completed a project or are new hires into IBC. Titled ?Small Business Consulting,? this class will combine classroom teaching focused on more in-depth consulting practices as well as participation in an IBC project.
