Physiological aspects of protein and amino acids, fats and fatty acids, and carbohydrates as applied to higher animals; includes classification, digestion, absorption, utilization, metabolism, and dietary deficiencies and excesses.

Prerequisite: MCB 350 or equivalent and a course in nutrition.
