Topic: Portfolio Development and Professional Practices. Course Description: A design portfolio and resume are essential elements in gaining employment. These may be the only things a person sees before deciding whether or not to contact you and in many cases you may not be present to explain it (i.e. digital portfolio). A strong portfolio can open doors to a new future. Through lectures, selected readings, and hands-on development students will learn the elements of industrial design professional practice and create the tools needed to showcase their work and skills to future employers. Prerequisite: Junior or Senior standing in ID.
