The study of major movements and figures in French poetry. Traditions and innovations. Poetic genres. Introduction to versification and metrics. Close readings of individual poems. Topics will vary.
May be repeated to a maximum of 6 hours. Prerequisite: FR 207, FR 208, FR 209, and FR 210; or equivalents.
