Section D3 is a discovery course. Sport, Play and Ethnography. 3 hours. Introduction to cultural ethnographic method and theory and criticism related to the study of contemporary sport and play. Throughout the semester, students conduct and participate in actual fieldwork and will be engaged in the process of creating unique cultural analysis/interpretation of selected topics related to the university community. An Ethnography of the University Initiative course. First Year Discovery Program course. Registration is restricted to freshmen. Students should enroll in only one Discovery course.
