Topic: Museums in Action: Engaging the Community. Museums in Action takes place in the UIUC Krannert Art Museum (KAM), and looks at how KAM engages the interests of culturally diverse local communities. Students will learn about the museum's educational practices and multicultural exhibitions and they will create new experiences for KAM visitors. Students may also creatively explore how new technologies can be incorporated into museum educational practices. This course is open to all students. Prerequisites include a love of art, a love of people, and a love of talking. Museums in Action meets in the Collections Resource Laboratory in the lower level of KAM.
