Zoological Medicine is an elective course for veterinary students in their second year of the veterinary curriculum. Students will learn comparative anatomy, physiology, husbandry, and handling of zoological animal species encountered in exotic animal pet practice, including small mammals, bird, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. The most commonly encountered diseases of species will also be discussed.

Prerequisite: Enrollment in the 2nd year veterinary curriculum.
