Laboratory Animal Medicine
Credit: 1 TO 3 hours.
Weekly clinical rounds, weekly or biweekly facilities rounds, and supervised clinical experience. Topics include: biology and husbandry of laboratory animals; diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease of laboratory animals; principles of animal use in research and teaching; and management and design of laboratory animal facilities. May be repeated to a maximum of 12 hours. Prerequisite: Graduate Veterinarian or consent of instructor.
