Advanced study of the communication disorders resulting from neurological impairments in adults: critical analysis of the research literature, examination of current theories regarding aphasia and related disorders; evaluation of existing paradigms of diagnosis and intervention.

Prerequisite: SHS 470 or consent of instructor.
