This course provides in-depth coverage of advanced topics in human-computer interaction (HCI). Topics include applied models of human performance and attention, design tools for creative design tasks, interruptions and peripheral displays, gestures and bimannual input, and usability evaluation techniques. The class meetings will consist of traditional classroom lectures along with group discussions. In the course, students will complete a research-oriented semester project of their choosing.
Prerequisite: CS 465.
