Engineering principles that underlie nuclear systems designed with emphasis on nuclear power reactors. Materials for nuclear systems. Energy generation and removal in single- and two-phase flows. Reactor and component control systems and nuclear fuel reloading patterns.

Prerequisite: NPRE 455, ME 300; MATH 241 (formerly MATH 243) or MATH 380; MATH 385.
