Credit: 1 hours.
Introduces freshmen to nuclear, plasma, and radiological engineering. Several demonstrations of nuclear phenomena are presented and discussed (reactor operation, plasma behavior, and others). Experiments are conducted on radioactive decay and radiation shielding with one formal laboratory report and a student project.
