Intended for engineering students and others who require a working knowledge of differential equations, included are techniques and applications of ordinary differential equations, linear systems of differential equations, and an introduction to partial differential equations.
Credit not given for both MATH 386 and any of MATH 284, MATH 385, MATH 441. Prerequisite: MATH 241(formerly MATH 243) or MATH 242, or equivalent.
engineering students must obtain a dean's approval to drop this course after the second week of instruction.
