This course is designed for doctoral and advanced master's students interested in research on classroom teaching. Research methods that have been used to study classroom teaching are reviewed so that students will become familiar with the research paradigms and the conceptual, technical, and political issues related to those paradigms. Students will conduct a critical analysis of research on teaching in an area of interest.

Prerequisite: Admission to a doctoral program or consent of instructor.
