Critical survey of the major developments in European painting of the eighteenth century. Emphasis is placed on French artists, but major figures in England, Spain, and Italy are also considered.
3 undergraduate hours. 3 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Junior standing or consent of instructor.
