Credit: 3 OR 4 hours.
(SOC 303) Integrates sociological and feminist theories of stratification by first critiquing mainstream stratification literature and discussing the inadequacies of subsequent approaches, then comparing and contrasting various feminist perspectives on the links between work, family, and the state. Students will identify potential sources of gender bias within specific social institutions.
