(MUSIC 318) Study of musical performance from ca. 1600-1750; discussion of musical instruments, ornamentation, basso continuo, etc., supplemented by demonstration performances using the University's collection of instruments.

Prerequisite: Graduate standing in music; for undergraduates, consent of instructor.
