(MATSE 401) Examines the fundamentals of rate processes in materials, both from a phenomenological and an atomistic point of view, with special emphasis on the kinetics of transformations and the transport of matter in solids.

Prerequisite: Graduate course in statistical thermodynamics or consent of instructor.
