(IB 346) Ecological principles as they apply to plants, animals, and humans in tropical habitats; topics include climate, soils and ecosystem processes; seasonality and habitat diversity; community structure, species diversity, and plant-animal interactions; regrowth following natural and human disturbances; and human use and abuse of tropical forests.
Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: IB 203; or consent of instructor.
