(HIST 434) Period covered will alternate between the Early Modern (1550 - 1850) and Modern (1850 - present) eras.
Same as EALC 527. May be repeated to a maximum of 8 hours if topics vary. Prerequisite: Graduate standing in HIST, EALC, or other related discipline and reading knowledge of Japanese, or consent of instructor.
