(MUSIC 213) Survey of music and its development in Western civilization to about 1750; emphasis on an acquaintance with representative musical works and style, and on understanding musical concepts in the light of their historical and general cultural context.
Prerequisite: MUS 110, or consent of instructor.
Students must register for one quiz and one lecture section.
