(MCBIO 317) Laboratory emphasizing current molecular genetics techniques in bacteria. Topics include genetic techniques, use of transposons, genetic regulation, nucleic acid hybridization, restriction endonuclease mapping, cloning, and DNA sequencing.
5 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: MCB 301, and credit or concurrent registration in MCB 421; or consent of instructor.
