Credit: 4 hours.

(EDPSY 389) In this course, students will learn to conduct a variety of evaluations related to learning technologies including needs assessments, consumer-driven evaluations, outcome or impact assessments, comparative or quasi-experimental studies and case studies. As one means of measuring need, growth, or impact, students will also create assessment instruments and strategies related to particular learning technologies. These might include electronic portfolios, web-based surveys, computer adapted tests or performance rubrics. Course requirements include a final evaluation project in which students (individuals or pre-approved small groups) plan and conduct actual evaluations of learning technologies. The course includes both face-to-face and asynchronous and synchronous on-line meetings.
