SALIDlab Practicum
Section Info:
This ‘practicum style’ course offers credits for research and development projects under the South Asian Languages, Images, and Data Lab (SALIDlab), an interdisciplinary research initiative in South Asian Studies. Students will use Python, JavaScript, or Wolfram programming language to work on Sanskrit, Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu. Project outcomes will be determined through conversations with Prof. Mehta. Students can pick various interdisciplinary methods, such as a combination of programming languages and natural languages. Students interested in data visualization can pick select texts to build a dataset towards that goal.
