Presents the major functions of the sensory systems and the mechanisms of sensation and perception at the molecular, cellular, and systems levels. In addition, it considers the physiological basis of sensory system development, plasticity, and disease based upon human clinical data and research in animal models.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: MCB 314, or equivalent, or consent of instructor.
