Prerequisites: IE 310 and IE 370.This course covers a series of operations research models and techniques in service of societal problems. The class will focus on two areas: deterministic operations research, with a focus on linear programming, integer programming, and network optimization applications; and stochastic operations research, with a focus on data analysis, Poisson processes, Markov chains, and queuing applications.
Restriction(s):
Restricted to Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering and Design major(s). Restricted to students with Junior or Senior class standing.
