Credit: 2 hours.

Students will gain a strength-based overview of autism throughout the lifespan, including educational and employment outcomes, historical perspectives, neurodiversity and autistic identity, and cultural biases and barriers to inclusion. Practical strategies for supporting inclusion and success for individuals on the autism spectrum will be highlighted.

Credit is not given for both HDFS 398 Autism: Current Topics and HDFS 255.
