Provides a comprehensive introduction to GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and GIScience, exploring the nature of geographic information, spatial analysis, GIS applications, and the core procedures involved in operating GIS. Students gain practical, hands-on experience using ArcGIS Pro while learning the fundamental principles of geographic data mapping and spatial analysis. Throughout the course, they work with different spatial data models to develop solutions to basic spatial and planning problems.
