- Accelerating Deep Tech Enterprises I | Build Accelerator — for earlier-stage ventures validating customers, markets, and products and developing an MVP. Designed for students and researchers with an *existing deep-tech innovation or technology-based venture concept*, this course applies proven entrepreneurship and commercialization methods to evaluate commercial potential through customer discovery and market validation. Participants conduct stakeholder interviews, test key assumptions, assess market opportunities, and explore pathways to impact and commercialization. Successful completion is required for consideration for Accelerating Deep Tech Opportunities II. Additionally, teams that successfully complete the course will meet the criteria and be well positioned to apply to follow-on I-Corps Great Lakes Hub and national programs, including Boost, Scout, and National I-Corps, as well as the Cozad New Venture Challenge’s Later-Stage Track. - Foundations of High-Impact Innovation is a graduate-level course that examines critical areas of the entrepreneurial process: problem and solution identification; validation of product-market fit; market assessment; team formation; product development; intellectual property; financing a technology-based startup. This class combines lecture, discussion and case studies, and is built around a hands-on group project leveraging the lean startup methodology from the National Science Foundation I-Corps program. All upper-level undergraduate and graduate students interested in technology entrepreneurship are welcome.
