Transition Military Section Info: Female Veterans Transitioning from Military Service This course examines the unique experiences and challenges faced by female veterans transitioning from military to civilian life. Students will explore topics including mental and physical health, employment, housing, social support, and policy advocacy, with an emphasis on gender-informed approaches. Designed for social workers and public health professionals, the course provides practical tools to support, empower, and advocate for female veterans across diverse service systems. Course meeting times: November 3 November 17 December 1 3:30-5:00 pm (all Tuesdays) VIA ZOOM POT B This 2-credit course is offered in Part of Term B (second half of the semester). Instruction is primarily asynchronous online, with three required live Zoom sessions. Students must attend at least two of the three scheduled sessions. Restriction(s): Restricted to MSW:Social Work -UIUC, MSW:Social Work ONL- UIUC, or MSW:Social Work -UIUC.
