Qualitative Methods

Credit: 4 hours.

Introduction to the collection and analysis of qualitative data in political science. We consider strategies for systematic research based on small numbers of cases with attention to issues of conceptualization, measurement, and analysis as they apply to methods such as cross-case comparison, within-case process tracing, and multi-method research.
