MedPrep is a unique, interactive lecture series that has 4 objectives: (1) To give students accurate, honest, and detailed information on how to become the most competitive and prepared applicant to medical school possible. (2) To clarify the entire educational process required to become a board-certified physician and the lifestyle one can expect in medical school, residency and beyond. (3) To prepare students for the expectations and attitude that will be required of a successful medical student and future physician. This course will meet in Room 109 Burrill Hall. This course will familiarize students with the vast array of opportunities and resources in Biology at Illinois. Students will build the skills needed to enhance and enrich their experiences as a biology student. The goal is to encourage students to take advantage of available opportunities, form an interactive community with similar interests, curate individual experiences, and enable them to set and achieve realistic goals for their academic success at Illinois and beyond.
